Privacy and consent

1. What we collect

   The details in your application: name, email, institution and position, place, ORCID iD, links and publications, the variety you speak, your referee, your expertise and your statement. A profile photo if you want one. While you are a member, your replies and the questions you take on.

2. Why

   To confirm who you are, so the editorial board can decide, and so every accepted correction carries the name of the person who proposed it.

3. Who sees it

   Only the editorial board sees your full application. Other members see your name, role, institution or place, expertise and photo. Publicly, only your accepted contributions appear, with your name if you allow it, and your photo only if you choose.

4. Where it is kept

   In the database and storage services of Cloudflare, which hosts the site. Emails are sent through a mail delivery provider. We use no tracking cookies. We use only strictly necessary cookies.

5. Your rights

   You can withdraw your application from your application page, change or remove your photo, and ask for a copy or deletion of your details at [email protected]. Accepted corrections stay in the Atlas history, without your name if you ask.
